Taking Care of Ourselves & Each Other

Mental Health Resources at Stanford

NGSO 2018

Main content start

Every year, the Graduate Life Office works with student volunteers to coordinate the New Graduate Student Orientation, or NGSO. In hopes to orient Stanford's new graduate students to the campus and ease their transitions here, it occurs the week prior to the start of classes. The programs are open to all incoming graduate students, both new and transfer students. Through NGSO, we hope to connect students from across academic departments. The goal is to inform and and connect our new graduate students to the Graduate Life Office and other resources they have access to, including information on local and student life as well as interdisciplinary and academic life in order to help build their toolboxes for a successful graduate career here at Stanford University.

Programs throughout the week include Grad 101 sessions, library tours, bike registrations, Open Houses of various University resources, GOALIE Resource and Activities Fair, and a President's Reception.
