5. GSPB Broomball: an evening of brooms, balls, slips, and falls Sign-Up

Join your fellow graduate students to play *Broomball*. It's like hockey, with no skates! No equipment needed -- you run in your sneakers, hitting a rubber ball with short broomsticks into hockey goals. No skating skill necessary either -- the ice is chopped up and snowy so you can run (but inevitably slip) on it. If you're still on the fence, here's a video of all the fun you'll have playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5Ig6QzzJeM&feature=youtu.be&t=160

6. Samosas and The Revenant

Haven't watched the film ˜The Revenant yet? Come and join GSPB to watch Dicaprio's film The Revenant at the Cinemark 16 theater in Mountain View. We will carpool from the GCC, and we'll have delicious samosas before the movie! Please sign up by noon of Monday February 16; lottery winners will be notified by email (drivers will be given preference). Tentatively the show times are 8pm-10pm. We’ll let you know the exact time when movie schedules are released.

7. (ML)^2 .2: Machine Learning Multi-departmental Lunch #2

Interested in machine learning? Want to meet people from all across campus who share your interest? If so, this lunch is for you!

We are launching the second round of Machine Learning Interdepartmental Lunch. If you went to the first one and liked it, come to the second one! If you were not selected for the first one, we will give you priority on this one! And if you didn't apply for the last one, that's your chance!

This is not a conference or a seminar - just students with a common interest getting to know each other and eating free food :). Our purpose is to bring together a large diversity of perspectives on the topic, so people from all departments are encouraged to sign up.

The lunch will take place at the Russo Cafe on campus and it will be funded by the GSPB. Participation is capped at 20 and will be determined randomly but so as to bring together students from as many different departments as possible.

8. Qwake Up! Morning Workout

You probably don't like early mornings. The alarm rings and you hit snooze about 5 times before finally rolling out of bed to catch the late morning. I get it. But I promise you the Qwake will change that... at least on Thursday mornings.

Inspired by the November Project, the Qwake is a group of graduate students that meet weekly for a high intensity outdoor workout that shakes you awake in the morning. The exercises vary from pushups to sprints to other creative exercises involving body weight and the rest of the team. Everyone can do it, it is designed for all levels and we are all very encouraging. There will be lots of high fives, sweat, and good tunes. While we usually just meet for Qwoffee at Coupa after, this time there will be free breakfast. Here is a link to our Facebook page to prove that we are all happy and smiling, even at 7:30 AM!

https://www.facebook.com/The-QWake-Stanford-1057416590958361/?fref=ts

So to all you singers, poets, writers, songwriters, magicians, rappers, filmographers, acrobats, performance artists, and whateverers of all sorts to come and share your talents and creativity with your fellow grad students! Or just come out to enjoy a night of magical entertainment and support your fellow grad students! *Original material* is strongly encouraged! Sign-up, hellos, and a slice of pizza from 7:30-8pm; we'll start rockin' promptly at 8pm.

10. Foodtruck Typhoon (Pt. 2)

Ever wanted to try the food trucks on campus? for free? Come join us and your fellow graduates for lunch from Los Tolucas (http://www.yelp.com/biz/los-tolucas-sunnyvale) and/or We Sushi (http://www.wesushi.net/) on Friday, February 26th.
