QPR - Staff Training
Event Details:
CONTENT WARNING
The Graduate Life Office is offering community QPR Gatekeeper Training in an effort to support the broader Stanford community. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. QPR can be learned through a Gatekeeper training course. The Graduate Life Office has adopted this course to include the Stanford student experience and to help faculty/staff support students through a crisis.
In-person attendance only. You must complete the entire 2 hour training to be certified.
Event Capacity: Attendance will be capped and a lottery will be run if necessary.
